Please note that the Grade 3 Health curriculum is age-appropriate and focuses on helping students develop the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy, safe, and respectful choices in their daily lives.

Throughout the unit, we will discuss topics such as:

• Healthy living habits, including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and personal hygiene
• Personal safety strategies, including identifying trusted adults, understanding boundaries, and staying safe in different situations
• Emotional well-being, such as recognizing emotions, managing stress, building self-confidence, and developing positive coping strategies
• Healthy relationships, including kindness, empathy, communication, cooperation, inclusion, and conflict resolution
• Respect for differences by encouraging students to appreciate diversity, treat others respectfully, and understand that families, cultures, abilities, and experiences may differ
• Personal development and decision-making skills that help students build independence, responsibility, and confidence

All discussions and activities are presented in a respectful, supportive, and developmentally appropriate way for Grade 3 students. Students are encouraged to participate at a level that is comfortable for them, and classroom conversations are guided carefully to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Merci.
