🎶 Concert Reminder – May 28 | 6:00–7:00 PM
Mme will be present to supervise students during the concert.
📝 EQAO Update
Please note a change in the EQAO testing schedule. Testing will now take place on:
- Tuesday, May 27
- Wednesday, May 28
- Thursday, May 29
This replaces the original plan to begin testing on Monday.
🏊 Swim to Survive
Thank you for returning the permission forms. Students will attend the Swim to Survive program from 10:00–11:00 AM on June 4th, 11th, and 18th, accompanied by myself and another staff member. We will walk to the facility.
🚜 Downey’s Farm Outing – June 3 | 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
Our class trip to Downey’s Farm is scheduled for Monday, June 3. Permission forms were sent home yesterday. Please return them promptly.
📘 Health Class Notice
A letter outlining next week’s health topics has been sent home. If you wish to exempt your child from these lessons, please sign and return the form. Dates and times for each lesson are included in the letter.
📚 EQAO Practice Review
Students are bringing home recent in-class EQAO practice materials. These have been reviewed individually, in pairs, and as a class. Math questions needing further attention are marked with stars. These practice items closely reflect the actual EQAO format.
Please review the package with your child over the weekend to reinforce their understanding.
➖ Math Focus: Subtraction
Subtraction remains a challenge for many students. While we continue to support them in class and during recess, additional practice at home is encouraged. Please work through examples such as 509 – 365 with your child.
🧠 Preparing for EQAO Test Days
From Tuesday to Thursday, students will complete various sections of the EQAO assessment. They will be provided with:
- A pencil
- A ruler
- Rough paper for notes/calculations
- Headphones
- A Chromebook
Each student will receive a unique login and is already familiar with the login process. Please note that no assistance can be given during the actual test.
